Adding Value Through Pro Window Tinting At Precision Auto

Keep Ultraviolet Rays Out of Your Interior

This characteristic of window tint films is not only for preserving the integrity of inanimate objects like your dashboard, leather seats, or steering wheel. Ultraviolet rays can cause health problems for your passengers, whether they are your family, friends, or even pets. By deflecting those rays with window tinting, all who ride in your automobile are no longer exposed directly to the sun extensively!

Moderate Your Vehicle's Temperature

Another negative impact from the sun is the infrared heat that it builds up in your interior. Your vehicle heats up like an oven while it sits out, especially during the summer months here in Michigan. Our Llumar Window Tint Films are rated highly in resisting infrared heat rejection, meaning the temperature of your vehicle’s cab will be moderated automatically.

Interior Security Measures

Some believe that the sleekness of our window tint films is actually a draw for people to come and gaze upon your automobile. However, what they prevent is those passersby from peeking into your cab and seeing any personal belongings left out on your seats or floor. The darkness of window tint films make it extremely difficult to see inside, therefore deterring potential burglars from making an attempt at breaking in.

Window Tinting Laws In Michigan - At Your Convenience

A common question that we find at Precision Auto Protective Films & Ceramic Coatings relates to the rules of the road and how window tinting fits into them. Can you have window tinting? How dark can the window tinting be? Isn't window tinting illegal? We have decided to collate all the basic rules and regulations surrounding window tinting laws here in the state of Michigan.

All across the board, the reflectiveness of your window tint film packages must only be 35%. The only type of window tint film colors allowed to be used in the state of Michigan is black. The state laws strictly prohibit colors such as silver and gold from being utilized in window tint films, so we at Precision Auto simply do not offer those colors.

Window tint darkness is actually quite easy to understand per the laws of the state of Michigan. Back windows can be as dark as you'd like, and this includes rear windshields. Now, the front windshield can only have a tint strip that is 4 inches down from the top. This is also applicable to front driver and passenger side windows as well. Those strips can be as dark as you wish.
